The Tocumen International Airport has multiple lounge options for those with Priority Pass – three in terminal one and two in terminal two. With so many to choose from, how do you know which is the best one?
While I spent a long layover in the airport, I visited two of them in Terminal One: The Lounge Panama and Copa Club. After spending hours in both of these lounges, I would say Copa Club is the superior one, and here’s why:
Even though both lounges were crowded, Copa Club is much bigger than The Lounge so it’s easier so find a comfy spot to sit. There were also outlets next to most of the chairs in the Copa Club where there are some areas in The Lounge that do not have an outlet nearby. The Lounge felt a little more cramped and didn’t have as many tables as the Copa Club.
Neither of the lounges had incredible food options, but it wasn’t bad for free food during a layover. Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian so I’m not sure how good the meat options were.
Although there weren’t too many options for food, I think Copa Club also beat The Lounge in that aspect as well. The options for food at the Copa Club were empanadas (the plantain ones were decent), some dessert breads, and a few options for cold sides such as Mexican salad, chickpea salad, and yam ceviche.

Unlike the Copa Club, The Lounge offered multiple hot meal items such as: rice and beans, soup, and a chicken dish. There was also a very small build-your-own-salad section, pasta salad, and Oreos.

Both lounges had open bars, water, clean bathrooms, and free wifi. If you have a layover in Tocumen International Airport, I recommend passing time in the Copa Lounge due to comfortability, space, and food options.
